Outside Stovetop Vent Cover

We've bought two different outside vent covers for the stovetop now and neither one fits. (That's the little vent outside with the two flaps you should go out and open everytime you use your stovetop, and go close when you are packing up to leave). Our original vent cover is by "Jensen".

We called Keystone last summer and we were told they don't carry it as a replacement part and we should contact the manufacturer. Our owner's manual doesn't have any information on the stovetop vent cover.

I have spent quite a long time researching the internet and bought the first replacement vent cover from a large RV supplier in Indiana and it was by Ventline and is too small by about 1/2".

The second replacement vent cover we bought from CampingWorld and it turned out to be Ventline (another model of theirs) and again is too small.

Has anyone replaced their outside stovetop vent cover and been able to find one by "Jensen"?

I haven't been able to find the divison of Jensen that makes this vent cover, and I am doubting that they still make it anymore. It appears that Ventline may be the main supplier of these now.

We had ours replaced by the dealer about a year ago. It is identical to the original Jensen. Maybe your dealer can order them from either Keystone or Jensen.

Just checked a catalog of RV parts that I have and it shows it as "Cat.# 62810, Exterior Vent cover for Jensen ducted range hoods" 6"x13" for 4"x11" cutout" Jensen is a division of Elixir Industries. This is in the January 2005 edition of the Coast Distribution Systems catalog on page 230.

With your information, I just completed an order for a Jensen outside range vent.

Coast Distributing has a strange way of letting the public order. They supply a list of dealers in your area that they deal with and have you click on one, which then takes you to that dealer. It then appears you have to contact that dealer to see if they carry the item you are looking for. But if a person clicks on products, it takes you back to a Coast Distributing catalog of items and the item you purchase is shipped directly from Coast Distributing.

Anyways, another sucess story of MOCer helping MOCer.
