Alaska Campgrounds

For those of you planning a trip to my state next year, here's a few campgrounds that you should check out. I've either been to them myself or I am very familiar with them so I can recommend them.

In Fairbanks (my home town) there is Riverview RV Park and Santa's RV Park.

In Anchorage, there's the Anchorage RV Park

In Palmer, there is Mountain View RV Park

In Valdez there is Eagles Rest RV Park and Sea Otter RV Park

If you would like more info on these RV Parks you can PM me or look up their websites if they have one.

We liked Riverview and Eagles Rest. Shoulda had your info for Anchorage. Ship Cr. Landing is not the best location. Denali Riverside was neither...windy and dusty knoll w/intermittant power.

Denali has Grizzly Bear Campground that is north of the strip. It is new with nice facilities. Rainbow RV Park right behind the strip of stores doesn't have such great facilities but it is very convenient to the stores.....in case you get stuck there for eleven days or so.
