Cody-to-Thermopolis-to-Shoshoni WY

Planning a trip to Yellowstone and would like to stop in Thermopolis, WY, on the return leg of our trip. We would be traveling from Cody, WY to Thermopolis and then to Shoshoni, WY. My route would be Wyoming State Highway 120 south to Thermopolis and then continuing south through the Wind River Canyon to Shoshoni, WY, before heading East. There appears to be at least one tunnel on US Highway 20/State Highway 789 (between Thermopolis & Shohoni). Has anyone been been through the Wind River Canyon and the tunnel with their Montana? We have a 2018 Montana 3950BR (40' long and 13'6" tall).

If I’m not mistaken the Wind River Canyon tunnel is just before you get to Cody. If so no problem.
If you go to Cody the Cody Museum is a must see. The first time I we were I planned to stay 15 minutes because friends I just had to see the museum. I stayed 2 days and have been back several more times. See it it’s worth it.

You won’t have a problem, I’ve traveled it many times. There is also a lot of truck traffic that takes that route.

We made that trip a few years ago.
Stayed at Ponderosa in Cody. It was tight!!
So much to see here.
Took 120 from Cody to Thermopolis.
There are petroglyphs on the way to Thermopolis. It's a dirt road to see them. Big gravel parking lot. Easy to turn around if you wanted to stop and have a look along the way.
Stayed at Eagle RV park in Thermopolis. There's a lot to see in this area too. Hot Springs, Petroglyphs, dinosaur museum.
Took US-20 to Shoshoni, then US-26 to Casper and South on i25 to Denver. We took the toll road around Denver. We were going to Colorado Springs. BTW, i25 south was the WORST road we have ever traveled. We could only do about 40mph. Hopefully it has been repaired now.
All in all Colorado has the worst roads we have traveled.

Thanks - we're going to avoid Colorado this trip. Don't enjoy going through Denver! Good luck!
