Safe Campground near the National WW2 Museum

We would like to spend several days in April touring the National WW2 Museum in New Orleans. We have never been to New Orleans in our RV, it has been several years since we have been there by car. Neighbors/good friends went to New Orleans every year for their wedding anniversary but after 2023 they have told us they will never go back due to homeless and crime. We need a pet friendly park as DW will not travel without our dog and cat. We are more concerned about safety than anything else, so cost is not an obstacle. We need full hookups with 50 amp service. Thanks for any advice, especially from anyone from the area or who has been there recently. TIA.

We planned to visit the WWII museum a few years ago and planned to stay at the New Orleans RV Resort and Marina based on someone’s recommendation here (from whom I can’t remember). Has good reviews, is gated, and appears not to be in a homeless area. But we ended up driving and staying at a hotel near the museum.

There is also the French Quarter RV Resort which is closer to the museum. Also gets good reviews including being safe. But also complaints about a very noisy nearby freeway.

Two years ago we stayed at the New Orleans RV Resort. It's a nice resort and we felt safe there. We would stay there again if visiting the area.
