A First!

Last week we had the G-kids for a few days at North Texas Jellystone Park. Had a great time. This is the first time in 10 years of RVing that I was the only Montana in the park! And most of the RV spaces were full timers in Redwood, Jaycos, and other new 5th wheels. Most only had cars parked in front of the rig. Lots of paper license plates still on the rigs.
I will keep my Montana and head out West later this summer.

That's kind of strange.

When we shopped for our new unit I could not believe that Redwood, Landmark, Big Horn all had only ~2500 lbs cargo carrying capacity. These are touted as full-time residential units. We had ~3300 lbs in our 2009 2400RL and needed at least that for the replacement unit. Montana had 3500+ lbs CC. We wound up going with SOB because we did not like the dark woods and lack of/mandatory options with Montana. Our new unit came with G114 H rated tires and IS and tons of storage plus 3500+ lbs CC. Paid more that we would have for a Montana but had our choice of colors and interior woods.
