Outdoor Storage - Desert (Cover or Not?)

My wife and I are planning to leave our rig unattended in outdoor storage in Palm Springs area for about 2 months (15 Nov - 15 Jan). What is the wisdom of using a wraparound cover or not.

In my opipon, it is not worth the effort for two months. They are a real pill to get on, and if anything is loose and there is much wind, it wear a place on your trailer. I never cover mine in Virginia, and I can clean it in about the time it takes to put a cover on and take it off.

Although we are fulltimers and use our Monty 7/24/365 I would never cover my rig. As pointed out by Joe above they just aren't worth. Besides the hassle of putting it on, the damage that can be caused by a loose cover to the finish of your Monty just ain't worth it. These rigs are built to be out in the weather. Yes, they will get dirty sitting outside but a simple washing will fix that.
The best way to cover any RV is with a true roof of a garage or shed.

Thanks for the input. This is just the feedback from some experienced young hands that I was after. I guess there is a good reason that you do not see that many sitting with covers in place.
