It's done

The shoulder is done. There was more damage than he thought. He was not able to scope it. The good news is that the muscle was in good condition so that an effective repair could be accomplished. They used a nerve block. I won't feel much pain for three days or until they remove the catheter from my neck, then no more joy juice. Now the wait and the work starts. a positive recovery is expected. Thanks for the support you all have expressed.

Stiles,

Praying for a speedy recovery, especially since pitchers and catchers start reporting in about 2 weeks! a lot of teams are looking for pitchers and with that reconstructed shoulder you should be able to throw a mean knuckler!

Good Luck,

Les

Glad to hear it all went so well. Looks like your a pitcher. When I was younger I pitched fast pitch soft ball, however my shoulder gave out on that windmill quite a few years ago. Good luck with recovery, maybe we need to get chairs on the patio together and recoup. I am trying to get used to a cane now after my stroke, but am hoping that wont' be necessary too long. Take care and Happy Trails, Steve

Great news, do your physical therapy as the doctor orders just as if he is your DI and you are back in boot camp. The DW worked with Orthopaedic docs for years and the fastest recoveries were always those that did their therapy as instructed.

Good news Stiles, Sue and I wish you a speedy recovery, we still heal as we age, just takes a little longer.
