Slide Lubrecation
My Keystone Manual says not lubrecate the slide rails. I thought at the Rally in Goshen this year we were told to use White Lithium on the rails and gears, am I wrong? Whatb do most of younb do?

The rails(tubes) on ours slide between plastic buttons and really don't need much lube and I certainly wouldn't use snything that attracts dirt. I use a PFTE based spray. It dries with abosolutely no stickiness. As far as between the gear and rack goes I use nothing. I do use a little synthetic oil between the gear and the plastic wheels on either side of it

I use a dry silicone spray. The same as the guys at the Keystone Service center. Nothing wet should be applied, as it will attract dirt and crud.....At least that what the Keystone [s]Cops,[/s] er Guys said....

An example of what attracts crud is WD 40...I would not use it.

I go with lithium on the rails, gears and the hydraulic ram. We sit in one spot for months. Clean it all before moving. Keeps the rust off and without it it does rust a lot... More work but what the heck, I'm retired.
