Meeting Friends...

Today is the day, we get to see Bingo and his wonderful family. And we will be meeting Carol and Al for the first time. We have met John and Donna for a very short time. Will be about 11 of us there. We have seen and met a lot of the MOC family, but a lot of them we haven't met other than their Photo's on the Forum. GBY....

We had a very nice meal and a great time this afternoon. And, Donna got her quilting book, after some serious store hunting down! All in all, a GREAT AFTERNOON! Cannot wait to meet cha all again someplace down the road.

Like Carol said, it was a great little meeting, good to meet Bingo, Cathy, and their girls, and get to spend a little more time with Delaine and Lindy than at our previous quick meeting. Thanks to Carol, Al and Ms Garmin for getting us safely there and back. Donna really appreciated being able to pick up her quilting book at Barnes & Noble, even though our directions where vague at best. (That part of Pensacola is a lot busier and more confusing than it looked on the map. Where did all those people come from on a Tuesday afternoon?)

Till we meet again, thanks to all!

It was a pleasure meeting everyone who attended. We enjoyed seeing Lindy and Delaine again, meeting Al and Carol as well as John and Donna. Small things like putting faces to the posters on this forum give both Cathy and I a better feel for the closeness that we associate with our fellow MOCers!! I think the girls had the mall across the street on their mind during the get-together since they didn't seem to be too involved in the conversations. After the get-together, we ventured across the street and I finally had to drag the four women out of the place somewhere around 9 O'clock. Good deals were had though, so everyone left happy.

Delaine still is looking for warmer places so I never know until I told were we are going. I'm so glad the Malls aren't our thing, your one tuff guy !!!!! GBY.....

I will post a couple of pictures taken at Olive Garden when I am home tonight. Pictures always help.

Hey Carol and others,
Amanda (the 18 year old) fared the best, she ended up with a winter formal dress and a prom dress (they were half price). Dear old Dad sat through over an hour and a half of dress trying on just at Dillard's. Cathy (DW) even got in on the deals as she managed to get a $90 dress from the clearance rack for the grand total of $14 I think. The deals were abundant, but when you apply the savings in terms of a woman shoppers mentality, all the additional savings add up to one thing...........additional purchases. My arms still hurt from carrying bags to the truck!!! Whatever the camper axles, the dually and the pin are rated at, I can assure you that we were over all of the weight parameters that the forum weight police keep harping about. All of the purchases were loaded into the rig for the return trip. One of the ironic things about this shopping trip (that started out as a vacation) is Cathy found a deal at Kohl's on Dining Room Settings that she has been eyeing and pining for since we were married. For the ladies in the know, she purchased 16 settings of Fiesta Ware and got them all for less than half price. After I got to looking at the boxes, I busted out laughing. We travelled to Florida to purchase dinner settings for 16 that were made in.................................you guessed it.................................West Virginia!!!! Ha Ha!!

Here are a couple of pics of the gathered bunch. Sorry for the blurry one, guess the waitress wasn't the photographer I thought she was?? Besides, Lindy and Donna got camera shy and hid behind others in the second photo!! Lindy evidently was feeling like Tim the Toolman's neighbor (you know, the one that always hid his face from the camera!!)
