To the 3810/11 and 3920/21 owners

We've decided to get the 3810, hopefully next month. The question I have is, do you wax or protect the front cap window for easy cleaning? I really like having that front window for the view and natural light, but worry about cleaning the bugs off after a day of driving. Not a pretty picture, I'd imagine.

I have a 3921 and have to clean the front cap after every trip or once we set up. Wax helps but it is still a pain. I also check every trip for chips in the glass as I have a few nicks.

If I ever purchase another new 5th wheel, I'm taking it straight to a shop to have the front cap wrapped with a clear membrane like EXPEL, or 3m Clear Bra.
Then the bugs won't be able to knock the paint off the nose. I do my own cars, the front cap would actually be pretty easy to do.

I hadn’t thought of clear bra. That’s a good idea. I hadn’t realize the window could get rock chips, but it makes sense.
