Battery hold Down suggestions - Montana Owners Club

thinking up upgrading my Grp 24 flooded batteries to grp 27 AGM's deep cycle one's. Any suggestions on what type of battery hold downs to use.

Bob,

I would use battery boxes with lids. They prevent an accidental short if something metal falls on the terminals. We have 4 golf cart batteries and installed two noco boxes which can be bolted into the battery compartment.

Battery boxes are a good idea, but I've never used any kind of tie down.

Progressive Dynamics says their's is compatible with AGMs. I called them and ask that ? just a couple weeks ago. Very good guy to deal with. Call them, he's sitting there right now just waiting to answer your question in great detail. Mine will be 2-6v AGM and he said 'No Problem".
