Hi all,
We are still looking at getting a new RV, my question deals with the back window.

Are local MOC RV dealer states this model and only this model comes with recliners in the back,( can not get any other model) WHY?
What we want to do is have a bigger window so we can enjoy the view, in our recliners!
SOB salesman says OH YES WE CAN ORDER ANY MODEL WITH SOME CHANGES WITHIN REASON..I don`t want an SOB.... I want a MOC

Who do I talk to at the factory? Is this a true statement?

Do I need to take new MOC to a body shop to get this done or what?

Any help will be greatly appreciated ....

Not sure I understand your issue, but looking at montana floor plans on their webpage I see three with recliners and large back windows. Also often you can swap the coach and recliner positions. For example you could get the 3910 with recliners instead of theater seating and swap locations with the sofa. Not sure which specific floorplane you were citing.

Almost all of the rear living plans have either the sofa or recliners at the rear window. The ones with the sofa at the rear window, have either recliners or theater seating in a side slide so that you could see out the rear window from that seating. And there are a few that have rear entertainment meaning the TV in at the rear window with recliners and sofas in the side slides.

Sorry, 3160rl, if we move couch from window over where recliners are, they tell us we will not be able to open couch all the way, we really do not want to go any longer RV... two many places we go can not get in over 36feet

We plan to go across the US , don`t know rulers for diff. rv parks and camp grounds

My wife would like to go to a 40ft (NOT ME)

Ours is a rear TV model and neither of us would have anything else. The only issue we've found is that a LOT of sun can come in that back window no matter what's in front of it. I cut some Thinsulate to fit across it and keep both the sun and heat out. Since putting it in, we've never found a reason to take it out for the view. That includes Monument Valley, Grand Canyon and seven weeks of the southwest. If we ever do get somewhere that we'd like to view out that window, the Thinsulate pulls right out and rolls up.

Be careful a lot of campers that have the recliners in the back don't have enough room for the sofa back there. From the slide to the back of the camper isn't long enough.

The rear window is a huge magnifying glass and we have the blinds down most of the time in Hot weather.

We have a 3582RL and we have moved the recliners from the rear to the street-side slide. We then moved the sofa to the rear of the unit. We have enough room for the sofa with room on both ends and enough room to close the slides with no problem. The bed actually has more room when opened when it is in the back of the unit, at least on our model number anyway. We do watch when we open the slides after going down the road in case it has moved and also before we close the slides to make sure they do not rub on the couch. There is about two inches plus between the slide trim and the couch when closed. It all depends on the model of couch and recliners Keystone puts in the unit. Some are larger than others. IF your unit comes with the theatre seating recliners, they will not work in the exchange.

Talked to new dealer is lot more helpful , will see him this week.

One more thing to consider is that most of us dumped the furniture that came in the rig as soon as we could and bought our own. You will be far happier with recliners you purchase yourself and get the rig you want configured the way you want.

I would give some thought to home theater seating before you decide on the recliners. Love ours!!!

I didn't mean to down grade the home theater seating, just that they will not fit into the back of the Monte if you switch the sofa and home theater seating. The home theater seating will not fit in the rear of the Montes!

Rondo: Our 3610 has the queen hide a bed across the back window and the home theater on the door side across from the tv and we do not have to strap down or move anything before we travel. I presume some new models are now built a little deeper from the slides to the back window/wall to accommodate the depth of hide a beds across the back.

Darwin, that is how our 3582 is configured NOW also but we exchanged our sofa hide-a-bed which was on the door side and put it in the back and put the recliners, that were in the back, where your theater seating system is. Apparently, your sofa is the same size as ours and the slides clear the sofa as ours do.
