RV Salvage Parts

We're in Michiana (Goshen) and will be visiting the salvage places - there are 4 major ones about 45 minutes travel in either of two directions; two are in Elkhart and two near White Pigeon, Michigan.

We are willing to purchase for those who want some things and ship to you for the actual costs. Send us a picture of the item you are looking for and the quantity you want. The only thing we ask for in return is that if another MOCer is here (or in Arizona, another place for salvage yards) that you extend the same courtesy. Now, if the price is high, we'll have to get paid by Paypal first - we'll take a picture of the item for you (we bought a refrigerator for a MOCer today and had to figure out the freight).

Today, we were able to get some Pass & Seymour (very hard to find) AC electrical parts along with some 12 volt switches to match our decor. We also bought a few pounds of screws, some plumbing parts and will be getting a few other things tomorrow.

RV Doctor George in Sacramento is about as close as it comes to a RV salvage yard in northern CA.

Mike and Kat-- You'll really like those places. We've hit them all for the past two years when we go to the Fall Rally in Goshen. There is also one just south of Goshen, but it really does not have much to pick from. Good luck on you explorations and don't go to wild on your purchases.

Maximo,

What Carl n Susan said:

RV Doctor George
1142 Dixieanne Avenue
Sacramento
(916) 927-7837

Wear long pants to cruise his yard. Lots of metal parts laying around. And go on a sunny day.

OK troops here is a site that breaks down the RV Salvage places by State. I hope this works, we'll see!

Bontreagers in White Pigeaon MI use to be quite a place for new and used parts at very cheap prices. Been a long time since I been there but heard they are still in business.

Bontrager's is quite large and down the road a few miles is Johnson's another fairly large one who has many axles and windows.

There is also one about 3 to 5 miles down the road from the fair grounds. Going out of the fair ground you turn right. It is on an amish farm. It is on the right side of the road. There is also one north of white pigion a few mile, not very big.
