Micro Air Easy Start

Hi Folks,

I just got my second Micro Air Easy Start for the front A/C. I installed the first one on the main A/C in March 2017, and love it. I was going to take some picture and maybe even a video for the second one, but David from Fate Unbound just released a video of better quality than I could do.

Check out David's video covering the install at link below:

I did a video about a month ago, where I am running the main A/C (the one with Easy Start) off of batteries for about 30-40 minutes. See my video:

Does the EasyStart void your AC units warranty?

I am interested in installing one of these as well. The FAQ's on the Micro Air website claim you can start and run a 15,000 BTU AC with a Honda i2000 generator with careful load management.

BTW, we are big fans of David and Jenny on Fate Unbound; great videos.

Hi Folks,

Ran a test day before yesterday, keep in mind I have a Magnum Hybrid Inverter, but I was able to set my Inverter to take 20 Amps from my Champion 3100 Watt Generator (in econ mode), and run both A/C's. I ran them for about 45 minutes in the storage lot before I had to run back to the house for something.

John I am following in your footsteps. I installed my first easy start 2 weeks ago on my 15k. I was able to start and run from my Magnum 3k inverter. Don’t know if I will order a second one as I cannot see a scenario where I would run them both on my batteries. Our gen is an Onan 6.5k so no problem starting both AC’s. I guess 2nd ES would come in handy with a 30 amp site and needing both AC’s in load assist mode.

Just quick update, since I now have two Easy Starts installed I can run both AC's on a 30 Amp circuit. I also did a test with 20 Amps from generator and use the load assist mode of the Hybrid Inverter, and can also run both AC's.
