To KC in March

My son is getting married in March in Kansas City. I have NO idea what travel conditions would be like between N.Cal and KC at that time of year. We MAY fly.. but, it would be nice to take the RV. I've never driven in snow/ice.. so, that is the reason for the question.

I have a feeling this winter will be early and cold.. but..

We do get snow and ice sometimes in early March here in KC but pretty rare. I would be more concerned, like you suggest, getting here from the north at that time. Maybe head straight south and across the southern states and then north to KC, See more country that way also.

Remember it snowed on May 3rd last year and 14 years ago we had 14" of snow and high winds on March 19th so while it's unusual it's not unheard of.
