Michael,
Welcome to the West side of the mountains. Sorry I can't help you with campgrounds though. We stay in our kids back yard when in the Chehalis area.

There is an RV park in Elma, which isn't too far away.

Hi,

We live just out of Monte. There is a state park in Monte with no hookups and tight for trailers...would not recommend it. Friends landing is just outside of town and has water and electric. Elma has two RV parks. One is K&M and the other is the Elma RV park. Both are about 11 miles east of Montesano.

There is nothing in Aberdeen and one in Hoquiam. Hoquiam RV was a nice park, but has been overrun with long stay and seems run down.

Another 40 minutes and you have many RV parks to choose from at Ocean Shores to include a state park. If you would like any specific info and contact info, drop me a note and I will get it right back to you.

I have been there to visit some friends who were in the area. It is clean, but nothing other than a place to park. It is usually about 3/4 full and I hear the employees are nice to work with. If you are looking for a basic site with hookups and nothing else, this would work fine.

In my opinion it is a adequate over night location with nothing special or detrimental about it. Hows that for riding the fence on opinions???

Here is the link for Elma RV Parkhttp://www.elmarvpark.com/home.html

Mike, if you use "RV Park Review" it will show you a campground right in Montesano
