Harrisburg, PA

The weekend after the Northeast rally we need to be in Harrisburg for a convention. The good news is that our trip to PA in June "kills two birds with one stone" so that is nice. There is a compground in the heart of Harrisburg named Harrisburg East CG and Storage. It looks ok in pictures and is convenient to the convention but I'm curious if anyone has stayed there or any other CG close to downtown Harrisburg. I'm a little nervous about a city campground but we are only going to sleep there. Any comments or advice is welcome.

we stayed at Western Village RV park at Carlisle last fall. Easy drive into downtown Harrisburg--Interstate. Nice RV park--it was a campclub USA park and I think it is also a PPA park discount was for back in sites. Nice people amd quiet. We would stay there again

Hershey High Meadow campground is only about 10 min away and is a really great park.

We have stayed at Harrisburg East a couple of times. Not far off the highway and no problem with the area it is in. It seemed to be more on the outskirts of the city and not a bad area at all. We only stayed for overnights on our way south, but it was fine.
