Clocks????

How many clocks do you have that have to be reset twice a year for Standard Time and then four months later back to Savings Time. Probably more than you realize until you start resetting.

I have 22 that have to be manually reset. Include the ones in vehicles, thermostats, microwaves, RV, etc. Four on computers and cell phones that reset automatically for a total of 26.

Snicker,

Charlie,

How long did that take to change 22??

I lost count after about 9 or so, and I was just trying to count them!

Many of the ones that are automatic have to be change because they were pre-set as when to do this. How that this was changed by 30 days this year now you have to change those also. The only one that does not seem to cause a problem is the furnace and air because they are still changing at the old time which is not a problem because we never look at it for the time of day anyway.

Let's see. My watch. The clock in the living room. Bedroom alarm clock. Microwave. VCR. That's it. Five. The rest are all automatic. I haven't checked the truck but bet it's automatic. It is on the Sirius satellite and gps navigation radio and the clock selection says "GPS Clock", I'd bet it's automatically changed, too.

Charlie, ya just gotta simplify!

Charlie, I count 27 in 2 different time zones, Mountain (where I live), and Central (where I work), gets a little confusing at times. It was even worse 3 years ago while working in Oregon, had to add a third, Pacific .

One of the best minor investments we ever made was our radio alarm clock we bought over a year go that automatically resets itself after a power loss - or when you rig up. Great little device! It reset itself last night without me even touching it. This clock was CHEAP. less than $15. Why can't we have this technology in our MICROWAVE clock, our AUTO clock, etc??? I suppose we will see this eventually?

We have a clock that sets itself. It changed Saturday night like it was supposed to, but THEN last night about 7pm, all of a sudden it was 8pm! Not sure what to do with that one. We have the alarm clock that sets itself. It changed Saturday night like it was supposed to, and this morning, the alarm did not go off! Hmmmmmm........

ON EDIT 11-06-07
The alarm clock went off as usual this morning and the other clock is right again.
These two "automatic" ones worried me more than the other ten I had to manually set.
Until the Spring...

Being in Arizona for the winter eliminates any clock changing for me.

We have one of the atomic clocks in our unit. As far as setting the times on the other clocks, everytime we take it out we have to set them. No Problem. My wife is getting pretty good at it, except for the VCR clock. She hasn't mastered that yet. But in time I am confident that she will be able to do it. Walla, I don't have to worry about setting clocks anymore. Oh, when she reads this I will be in trouble. LOL
