RCA Guide Plus

I have an older (2002) unit with an RCA TV fitted with the aforementioned Guide Plus. I think that was an idea not ready for prime time because it apparently doesn't work anywhere anymore. My question is; Is there any way to remove this?

Thanks

David & Kathy - I am not sure what the Guide Plus actually refers to at this point. You might just do a Google search and see what turns up. I did and found a ton of remote controls on E-Bay that fit as a replacement tool, even the OEM new models for sale very cheap, less than $20. I also got hits at Target and several other retail locations. It appears it is still used by RCA. Good luck.

Thanks,
I did a search and all I found were forums that were so negative I couldn't read them all. I did find a way to shut it off but I will check out Target for an OEM model.

we had the same unit. I'm not sure what your asking though....if your looking to replace the television, it's only held in place with two screws through the top, and maybee in the bottom(can't remember)but it's easy to pull out and replace the whole TV. They are really cheap now. Our guide plus would stop working every time it was unplugged, and it would take a minimum of 24hrs before it would reset. (by this, I'm refering to the tv guide)

We had it in our 02 as well. We never used it though, as I recall, it may have been OK in a fixed location, but it required resetting for every new set of stations at each location. I think it was supposed to provide a sort of on-screen "TV Guide".
