Fix brace under peninsula in kitchen

Has anyone fixed this problem shown in the picture? I have added extra screws in the brace, but I think the rocking of the rig going down the road just pulls them out.
Thanks for any suggestion.

I’d take it back apart, get some construction adhesive and put it on the top of the brace to the counter and on th side that goes to the lower cabinet, res crew with #12 wood screws on top and drill through the brace that mate up to the lower cabinet and use machine screws, washers and nuts.

I would go inside the base and put a 1x4 down to the floor even if it took 2 prices. The I’d drill 2 holes 3/16 through the top of the brace and the 1x4, put a little glue on the top and the side of the brace and pull it all together with the 3/16 Machine screws. I don’t think you need screws from the brace up into the counter top. Gravity will insure it doesn’t go up.
