Which Solvent to Clean EPDM b4 Eternabond Tape
Cannot find where I saw this. Which solvent do I use? 91% Isopropyl Alcohol or Acetone. I know that Eternabond has some "special" spray cleaners but I read somewhere other "stuff" can be used

I believe either the product from Dicor or acetone. I’ve used acetone a number of times with good results. I don’t think paint thinner or mineral spirits would be advised because it can soften the membrane.

NO PERTROLEM PRODUCTS.
They are not compatible with any of the EPDM materials.

BTW, our 3791 has a TPO not EPDM roof. I was uncertain until I checked the color of the underside. TPO is white all the way through.
I used both 91% Isopropyl alcohol and Acetone thinking the Acetone might get the cedar resin off but it not. Used some EternaBond WebSeal per discussion with EternaBond folks and will cover after tinting with their Tintable UV Protector.

I have installed eterabond on all 3 units I have had. Across the front and rear seams/ around all the slides/around all roof vents/skylights etc. etc.
Every time I have cleaned the area with lacquer thinner. Have never had an issue. When done applying the tape I caulk all edges and overlaps with dicor so the wind has no chance of helping to pull it off.

After this 1st time working with the EternaBond Tape, I suspect that only God could remove it. I plane a bit later (after I find tint) to put a coat of their Tintable UV Protector over it.
