Connex TV

We have a 2023 Montana 295RL which has a 50" Connex TV. We just started snowbirding from Alaska to Texas and are currently located in Texas. I am unable to connect to Directv Stream via the internet on the Connex TV saying that the browser (WebOS) is not supported and to download a current version Chrome, Edge, etc..

Unfortunately, the Connex TV does not support downloading files so no current browser could be downloaded. WebOS has been updated but still does not work. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks for your assistance.

I have the same set up and hate that TV, I just replaced it as it would not send the sound through the JBL system.

What you can do if you have a laptop you can watch your show on that and cast it via bluetooth to the TV

Hopefully someone can help you with all of that for your Connex TV… but I would go to Sams and buy the 50” Samsung or LG TV and take the Connex to Goodwill. I bought the Samsung and it works well - once I get used to the non-intuitive menus (IMHO). Wish I had bought the LG because we have a 75” LG in the S&B and it works great…love how the menu works.

The Connexx TV is not a smart TV, it has no video streaming capability built-in. Add a Chromecast or firestick to an aux HDMI input and you'll have a smart TV.

I've used an HDMI adapter from my Iphone to the TV to stream, but you can also get a ROkU or Firestick and use that.

This is my first initial reaction but wanted to make sure the mounting bracket fit the replacement TV. Thanks for the advice!

I may consider this option prior to replacing the TV. Thanks Tony!

I found that the mounting plate fit my Samsung perfectly. I think the industry has standardized the back of the TV.

However- the Samsung was about 1” high when I tried to fold it back into the TV cubby. I took the bracket off the wall and moved it down 1.25” then reattached the Samsung. It folds into place perfectly.

When I replaced my Connex TV with a Vizio I also had to remove the bracket which had 8 wood screws. Simple just measure the screw mounts and the bracket for a 50 inch Tv just has to be moved up or down.

The Connex TV is a cheap LG knock off. I called Connex customer support.... SAD

Buy an Amazon Firestick 4k

The only solution is to get a streaming stick as that rv is not capable of upgrading its operating system
Suggest a 4k stick the latest technology that solved all my issues.

We had the same TV in our 2022 3781RL, replaced that TV the first weekend we had it with a Vizio 50". Connex does not have any streaming services or WiFi capabilities.

Replace connex

We just tried replacing our Connex on our 2023 377FL with no luck. Bought a Samsung 50 inch but the holes aren’t correct and if it fit, it was an inch too high when we lowered it.

DH also tried to add anchors to the wooden cover piece that goes across the top of the tv. If anyone knows how to replace that please let me know.

i just replaced our POS Connex TV with a 50 inch Vizio. I used the same mount but had to move the bracket, if I remember there were 8 screw that held the bracket to the mount location. I can't figure out why you are having a problem. The mount should be fine for any 40-50 inch TV. Could you take a picture?

This should work

Thanks Seasure1! We actually boxed up the TV. The tv we got actually needed bigger (thicker) screws to fit in the back so it wouldn’t have worked anyway. If we attempt again, I will need to get the right screw size.

Yeah, there are ways to make a dumb TV smart. But I'd bet a survey would show a high percentage of us that have replaced the original TV. We put in a Vizio. So far works great.

The Montana specs say that they have a 50” smart tv in the living room and a 32” smart tv in the bedroom but they aren’t anybody know why?
