Door Hinge

Wellm, I got tired of my wife getting hit on the head by the door above the fridge or (heavens forbid) having to put down the remote to hold the door for her so I installed a hinge used on toy boxes. Now I don't have to put down the remote...unless she asks me to get the step stool for her.

I did the same thing when I got mine. That door is pretty difficult to manage without a support to hold it up and this should be done at the factory for sure.

hahahah - love your motive Mike!

I've got one of those cabinets and we use it so seldom and can't even remember if it has a holder on it. Now I don't even remember what's in it. Probably everything that I've been missing all summer.

Great fix Mike, I've been wondering what to do with the door on my entertainment center where the DVD player is. It opens the same way, so you have to hold it open with one hand and load the disc with the other. Now I know! Thanks a heap.

I plan on using the same kind of setup when I put in the door and shelf above the microwave. Stay tuned....I may have to put down the remote for this...so it could take a while.
