To me, it's a brilliant solution to a non-existant problem. Besides, I can't see anything in it when I'm hooking up, anyway.
Never thought much about the looks, one way or the other.

I do like the new front cap, though.

That's great, I guess I didn't even know I had a problem until I was told about it. With the bed cover I can't see the hitch either, but with the use of a little Duct Tape on the underside of the cover all is well. I can face forward and look into the rear view mirror to hitch up. Plus I also have Julie "yelling" instructions! As for the front design, with a short bed it sure makes a huge difference. First time I tried to put the Monty in our driveway I had about a 1/2 inch clearance between the cab and trailer. So, learning very quickly I pulled up, extended the hitch, and then put the Monty away without penalty. Don't know the cost but sure know I saved alot.

I like both the cap design and the mirror. I don't use it, because I have a clear line of sight of my hitch. But I can see that some would need the assist. I guess I like the streamlined nose look.

I remain firm in my thinking that it makes the Monty look a little tacky, at best.

Front mirror has streaks

I just purchase a new Montana and I was trying to get the steaks off the front hitch mirror, but they will not come off. I was wondering what everybody is cleaning theirs with, any ideas would be helpful.

Our 2018 montana had the streaks also - don't use the mirror so wasn't too concerned about the streaks. Now 5 months later all the coating on the mirror is coming off and it looks like ****. Aksed Keystone to send me a new one and instructions on replacing - they said I'd have to take it to a dealer and have them order the mirror and install it. Well that would be super if we were near a dealer and going to be there long enough to get in and to have them order it, get it and go back in for them to install it.

Don't use it, don't really have an opinion on its appearance, like someone else said it's a brilliant solution to a non existent problem.

Our 2010 Mountaineer has the mirror and a circle of LED lights just above it to mark the pin location. I can turn the LED's on with my remote but I've never noticed any benefit from the light in the daytime. I have a toolbox in the front of my truck bed that is about 4 inches taller than truck bed sides. My truck is a crew cab which puts the rear window farther back and combined with the height of my tool box, I can't see my truck hitch in my review mirror but I can see the pin box. My toolbox has 2 doors on top. There is a 10 inch gap between the doors in the center of the truck. I look in my rear view mirror and align the pinbox centered between this 10 inch gap and the pin hits the hole everytime. If I didn't have this gap in the toolbox, I think 2 pieces of tape aligned vertically about 10 inches apart on my truck rear window would do the same trick.

I don't hook the truck to the RV very often at night. Maybe then the LED light would help (if I could remember that I have it and to turn it on).

I would have rather had a 1.99 reduction in price than have the mirror.

I don't use it to hook up, but every spring many robins use it repeatedly to do battle against themselves, ...and they crap all over my 5th Airborne pin box!

I'd prefer that it wasn't there at all.

Front cap mirror

Don't use it. It's too high and out view of my rearview mirror. It looks terrible right now all streaky and cloudy. I need to clean it. I put some small pieces of white tape on the pin box and the hitch head and that is what I watch as I back up to align things.

don't waste your time with the worthless 'mirror.' use your eyes and see the hitch.

I don’t mind it, but never use it for hooking up. I simply look over my shoulder.

Trekwood (https://www.trekwood.com/parts-searc...eywords=mirror) lists some. I didn't go through their 'selection' but the one I saw was $102 USD expensive.

I have yet to see any use for these mirrors. I can see the 5er pin and the B&W hitch head either via the TV mirror or by turning around - and have been doing so with various hitch and 5er combos since 1976

Ours is useless. I get the idea it is one of those flashy gimmicks they use to sell the units
