Question

Question: My brother sent me an email that has a downloaded attachment to it that takes you to a Windows Media thing that is really cool. I want to share it, but it's not a website to link to, so how do I get it to post here? Would it work to copy the email and post it? I don't have a clue when it comes to this stuff! Help!!

Lisa,
When you go to the website, just copy the URL that appears in the address bar (highlight and press Ctrl-C. Then come to the forum and paste the URL into one of your normal posts. That should get it.

Thanks Orv. I highlighted it, right clicked, chose properties, and it showed the URL address.

On Edit : Okay, all this does is take you to my email page.

Let's try this, I clicked on copy shortcut.

Okay, that didn't work either.

Hmmmmm.......

Highlight it then hold down the Ctrl key and press C. This copies it to your clipboard. You can then go to forum and post a message as you normally do. While you are in your post, hold down the Ctrl key and press V. This will copy the URL that you copied to your clipboard to the forum message you are posting. Let me know if this doesn't work.

I just copied the URL of this page http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=20800
so I know it works.
