Red lights

I am new to all this and find some of it very confusing. Each time I do a search it always says no results. I just picked up a new 3900fb Montana two days ago. If I put the 6 point system down and the slides out the battery is almost dead. Can anyone tell me what the two red lights are over the windows on the right side, they stay on all the time.
Also what is the privacy curtain at the stove? Nothing in the manual that came with it. I hope this is in the right place.
Thank you
Chuck

I'm not clear on your questions.
As soon as I unhook from the truck, I hookup to power, even before leveling and running slides.
Please give more info on the red lights and privacy curtain. There is no privacy curtain in our 3900. The only red lights in ours are in the control panel behind the glass door.

Thanks for responding. There is a sticker on the wall beside the stove and it where it says about the privacy curtain. The red lights are above the two windows on the curb side of the trailer, there are switches on them and if you switch them they go to lighted, turn the switch off and they go back to red and stay on drawing power. As far as shore power we just brought the trailer home and have not installed the Surge Protecter yet and would have to run about 65 feet of cord from the house and not sure if that would cause to little power. There should be a complete wiring diagram for some of this value but the owners manual tells nothing. Hope you can help.

A new rig should have a new battery and it sounds as if you may have a bad battery. You should be able to operate the LevelUp and slides several times on a charge-especially since you just disconnected from the truck.
As for your search, you may have too much info in the search line. If it comes up no info, try taking a word or two off the search until it expands the search enough to get a hit. You have a much better chance of hitting the barn with a shotgun than a pea-shooter.

Hi, Chuck , Welcome to the MOC. I'm thinking the red lights you are referring to are the little LED lights. The red lights are the switches and will remain on as long as the power is on, but will draw very little current. there should be a switch to shut off power to the unit while parked. Hope this helps .

On our units, red lights always meant the switch was turned on. Unit may have been sitting on the lot for a while, and simply needs charging. You got me on privacy curtain, I don't know what that is.

While the battery will run the slides out and get you set up, you're best to hook up to electric and let that be your source. The red lights over the windows have a soft button on the back (window) side that will allow you to turn them off. They work well in the morning when you need a little light, or can be used as a night light.

The only models that I remember having the privacy curtain was the 3400RL where the later years had a pleated divider curtain that separated the shower from the bed and the 3750FL that had the curtain that separated the living room. Did not know the 3900 had a privacy curtain?

The red lights ae normal. There is no privacy curtains by the stove in the 3900, sometimes the stickers are generic and don't apply to all models.

I removed all my useless stickers warning me of stuff before they adhere and mess us the wall material. Same for the outside of the coach.

I would almost bet the battery is low and needs charging you stated you just picked it up I'm sure they did a walk through before sending you on your way if they didn't have it hooked up to shore power then and ran the slides and level up many times they pulled the battery down and you found it when getting home. My truck that I tow mine with is equipped to charge while towing but I had to hook up the wire for that under the hood easy to do just followed the instruction in the owners manual. Good to see you here asking question and welcome to the MOC it's a great place to find out about your new Montana. If I can be of any help just private message me and I'll give you my number and help you out as much as I can take care and welcome once again.

When I bought our first used 2004 Montana, they told me the battery was new. It went dead the first time I used the slides and electric front legs one time. If you find your issue is battery related, go get a deep cycle battery.
