Interior Decorators - Chime in Please
DW is hot on the task of getting all of the items she is wanting so she can do the interior decorating of the rig as much as possible (believe me it will be done) while we are at the beach next week. She has a myriad of things that will require hanging. Obviously we would prefer not to drill holes so we are turning to our interior decorating gurus on the MOC for advice. In the past, many members have used velcro and other ways to hang pictures, etc. I would think that still could cause damage to the walls if and when it is decided to remove the velcro. We are wondering about the new Command strips that are on the market and whether anyone has tried them yet. They are removable without a trace supposedly. Any thoughts, suggestions, advise and experiences are welcome for consideration here.

Jim,
Are they strong enough to hold pictures with some weight to them. I know you remember what the turnpike though West Virginia is like, it will be the true test!!

If you follow the installation instructions, they hold pretty good. Vickie has a few things hung with them and they haven't fallen yet.

Bingo, the command strips work great for just about anything. Be sure to clean the wall or whatever with a little alcohol before sticking them on. We have pictures up that have stayed put through just about everything. Just make sure to use a strip on each corner.

The walls are pretty tough. We use velcro to hold pictures...and it holds pretty well. I wouldn't worry about damaging the walls. One of the first things we did was remove the 'decorator wallpaper border.' I pulled with all my might...and I am pretty mighty...and there was no damage to the wall. Bits of glue remained...and I am still fighting with that!!?!? Have fun.

Use command strips for everything..........they work great!!
And if you don't like where you put the picture and want to change its very easy to remove without damage at all to the wall.

I keep my alcohol (rubbing) in an old hair spray bottle. It is very handy to use, no mess no fuss. Just be sure to clean out the hairspray with hot water first. I use Velcro and remove heavier pics when traveling, and also can rearrange pics with ease.

Saturday morning Bill, hopefully before sun-rise. That last statement is TOTALLY dependent upon Dad's ability to motivate three separate women and get them to realize that THEY really want to leave that early?????

Hardware department of Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. etc. There are all different types of hangers, etc.
