Getting the Monty ready

Pulled the Monty out from the winter parking spot, repacked the wheel bearings, checked the brakes. Hope to head out around the 25th, if the weather window looks good. Heading for Myrtle Beach to vist Sister in Law for a few days. Looking at staying at the KOA. Are there any MOC members there? What is this C/Glike. Are there any sites? From there heading for Fl. eventualy to ZepherHills area. Any particular C/G in Zepherhills area that can be recomended.

I'm not familiar with that KOA but we're not too keen on KOA's anyhow. So many pack you in tight.

If you want a whole lot more room, more quiet, and don't mind being 10 or 15 miles from Myrtle Beach, consider Willow Tree RV Resort in Longs, SC. Really a nice park. We had something like 75' wide sites and the pullthroughs were so long we not only had our Montana and truck in there but could easily have put another Montana and truck in there.

This picture was taken through the screen of our front door. What you see is two sites. There is NOT a site between those two rigs. This is typical of that park.

Longs may be farther out than you want to be but if you don't need to be right in Myrtle Beach, this is a great park. Excellent spa, too. First class operation.

Thanks Steve. I am like you, KOA is not my favorite, but that CG is walking distance of the SIL. ThatWillow Tree Resort looks great.

If you are C2C members, you might want to consider Briarcliff RV Resort, a good park next door to Barefoot Landing @ about 10.00 per.. It's at North MB. As others said Willow Tree is very nice. Also Myrtle Beach Travel Park is also very nice, our favorite waterfront park.. We're not too keen on KOA. Larry

Send a message via Yahoo to NCFischers
Willow Tree is where we will be having our Mid-Atlantic Rally this year.

Being that close to family would be a priority for us, too. It sounds from other posts as if that KOA might be pretty decent, anyhow. Best of both worlds. Good luck and enjoy the trip and the family time.
