Day / Night Shade Problem
Well here we go. I noticed that my large rear shade in the back was installed backward. Inside facing window. This made for hard opening and the shade bunched up when we tried. Well I decided rather than hookup and spend the day at a keystone dealer to fix it I would.
Well after turning it around and reattaching it the tension strings are to short and the blinds do not reach the bottom of the window.
The strings are even and there was no place for them to get twisted or pinched when reattached.
I called the dealer and spoke to service mgr. and he had no idea why they would be short and not go back in same location.
Any help would be appreciated

Our large window blind fell off on one end the first weekend we used it. After taking the valance and everything off to re-attach it I noticed the same thing. What I think is happening is that the strings are under a lot of tension and they will need to be stretched a little. This is what we had to do on ours. I always have to stretch them anytime we have a blind off for any reason.

Yep, for some reason once the strings get slack you have to REALLY STRECH them to get them back in place. It helps to raise & lower both sections a few times while streching the strings.
So far I've repaired and/or re-installed about a dozen..
While you've got them off I strongly suggest you get some small sheet metal screws and put them in the end caps of the center bar. Otherwise the endcap will come off and the fabric will be damaged when someone applies uneven pressure moving the shade. There are detailed instructions on how to do this in the archive.
