Best Route from Salt Lake City to Vernal, Ut

We are in Draper, Utah and will be heading to Vernal, Utah in a few days. I am planning to take I-15 south to Spanish Fork. From Spanish Fork, I will take US 6/89 to Helper. At Helper, I will take US 191 to Vernal. Any significant issues with this route?

If it were me, I would go through Heber, up Daniels Canyon, through Duchesne, and Roosevelt on to Vernal. The way you mentioned has some pretty steep, tight roads. It is definitely doable but definitely a harder way to go. I live in American Fork and this is the route I have gone for years. In Draper it's probably about the same whether you go through Provo Canyon or Parleys. Have a good time on your journey.
