Helen, You're welcome to stop at "our" campground. We have 30 amp in the driveway or you can boondock at the lake! Actually there is water and electric (just can't use the AC or microwave) And it's free! From our house, it's about a 2 - 2.5 hour drive to Cotton Hill. Would love for you to stop by. Just another option. Lisa

Wow, I've got some major work to get done in the Monty since we've moved into the stick house. It's amazing how much you can carry in there.

We will be arriving in shifts. Grandpa is bringing the trailer down and should arrive about 3 or 4 o'clock on Friday. Grandma and the firebug will leave after school and arrive around dinner time....just in time to build a fire. First we have to attend the Honors Assembly (can you see us grinning?) and a teachers' conference, the good kind. Such fun. We're looking forward to seeing everyone.

Daniel is an awesome little guy, Nita! We should all wake up as happy as he does. He's our inspiration.

I hear ya, Helen. But this little guy, with all his limitations, enjoys life and puts us to shame. I'm so glad you'll have a chance to meet him. Right now he's sitting here with pizza sauce and parmesean cheese on his face, feeding Greta who is very willing to help him clean his plate. They have become very good buddies.

Can't wait. You might not want to tell hem that he will be the star of the rally. Don't want him getting a swelled head but be sure to tell him how proud all of us are for the Honor he is about to recieve.

We won't be able to make this mini-rally since we aren't leaving our workamping job in Colorado until Nov. 1 but would really like to be kept in the loop if another mini-rally is planned for the Southeast especially GA since that is where our stick house is. Betsy & Rick Hubbell

Welcome to the forum, mtngirl, and we look forward to having you join us for any rally in the SE in the future. There's a nice meeting in Elko, GA in March so be sure to look out for that one, too. Lots of nice people to meet.

And what a pleasure it was to see you Lisa. Sorry we didn't have a little more time but we will make up for it this weekend.

We are already all set up in our new campsite at Pine Mountain Campgrounds. We went to the F.D Roosevelt State Park first but when we couldn't get a phone signal we just had to move on down to a park in the big city.. We have already been eight days without phone so I have some catching up to do. Tomorrow we will go to the Callaway Gardens and re-visit them during the daytime. The last time we were there it was in December and late at night and I remember it being very cold that time. I'm sure it will be much better this time around. We also want to visit the State Park and F.D.R.'s Southern Whitehouse. I didn't realize how much there is to do around here. Thursday will be here before we know it.

You're right, Helen, there is a lot to see around there. Callaway Gardens should be beautiful in the fall colors. It seems strange to have you guys so close and not here to visit. Maybe a day trip over to Alabama would be nice. Guess we'll just have to wait for the weekend.

I thought of it Judy but didn't realize we were that close and then I thought all the others would get jealous if we started the fun too early, but if the weather stays lousy, you just never know.

We'll be at home, so give us a call if you need some place to spend a rainy day. I wish we were getting rain!

As we pulled out this morning,
Monty was back there singing
"On the road again..."
It was really wierd!

As soon as 6pm rolls around,
or whenever we lock the store door,
we'll be on our way!

Safe travels to all.

Glad you've all arrived safely. Can't wait to see everyone.

Helen, if you're going through the gate this evening, could you tell the staff that we're arriving tomorro? I suspect you'll be going out to eat or drink coffee! Our reservation was for 5 or 6 days and we were supposed to arrive today. Sure hope they don't give our site away!
