Our daughter was released from the hospital today with reduced swelling and greatly improved breathing. Even more important, her creatinine level was lower than it has been in YEARS! If it keeps this low, it will mean she is no longer in stage 4 kidney failure.

Prayers do work, and I thank everyone who took the time to pray for her from the bottom of my heart.



Here's an update: They did surgery today and found not was the SVC vein plugged, but so were three others, and the opened all four using the balloon method, which they hope will reduce the swelling and improve her breathing.



So it appears your (and ours) prayers paid off! Thanks!!!



Please bare with me. Our daughter was born with multiple birth defects 37 years ago. That she has made it this far has been surprised many in the medical profession. After over a hundred surgeries she is now in the most trouble of her life. She went into the hospital over a week ago with swelling in her upper right hand quadrant. Besides being in stage four kidney failure, she has been diagnosed with a blockage in the superior vena cava. The hospital she is in won't operate on her and is sending her to the University of Michigan hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the hopes they can. Throughout her life, we have always remained optimistic, but it's getting harder to be.

So if it's not a lot to ask, please remember her in your prayers.
