Dual Pane Windows

Anyone have them? Did you have to order your Montana that way. Or did it come with them?

We have them and that is the way we ordered it. We will not have single pane again. aswe camp in the Pacific Northwest in the winter time and it stops alot of the cold.

We have had them on all three of our Montanas and also will never be without them. On all three we were able to find them in stock on dealer lots. With our cooler climate in Canada many dealers are ordering their stock units with this option now. With the dual panes we find them warmer to be next to, less noisy and much less condensation forming on the inside.

The dealer ordered ours that way as well as with two AC units. Kansas has crappy weather in the summer and the winter.

We ordered the unit with them. Have had one Montana with and one without. Will not own a unit without them. The r value is not much but the windows will not sweat inside and they cut down the outside noise.

Agree with all of the above. Would not be without them. We ordered out unit with them and the main reason we did not take one off the lot was because they didn't have any with dual panes. Well worth the extra money and weight.

We had to order our unit to get them in ours. All the units at the dealer had single pane. The said that's all they pretty much all they sell here in So Cal. We are real happy with them for all the same reasons mentioned above.

The dual windows are fine and a big help for the reasons noted above. However, I'd like to see Keystone pay more attention to the air leaks and drafts. The windows are not much help if the draft on the floor will blow out a match.

We have the dual pane and would not be without them. Most units in Canada come with them because of the cooler temps. Dual pane reduces a lot of the outside noise comparing to single pane.

If you do the homework and understand what a RV Dual Pane window can and can not do then purchase them you spent your $$$ well.

Our plan was to stay in moderate temperatures so thermal transfer was not a concern and the spec's we saw on thermal transfer for RV dual pane windows was not impressive in terms of cost-vs benefits.

The noise issue was never a issue for us through 4 RV's. Rv dual pane windows do have a fair noise specification,. Again noise was never a issue so we saw no reason to spend money to reduce a issue we never had.

It was more of a issue of where to spend a limited amount of $$$ and for us to spend it on dual pane windows based on our proposed lifestyle, was low on the got to have list. Thus far it was a good decision..for us.

If we were to stay in extremes of temp's for long periods of time we would no doubt have got them

We have them. Ordered them with tHe camper. We like them. As mentioned above, drafts are a bigger issue as far as heat and cold goes. Also, we have two
Windows that have failed seals as they fog up. Replacements will not happen as they are rather expensive. I just hope the back picture window never fails.

Fortunately, we must be lucky...have not felt any "drafts" in our Montana (when closed up). Is this an issue with many members?
