Memphis TN

Hi all,

We'll be passing through Memphis in a couple of weeks, and It looks like that's a good place for a night.

Does anyone have knowledge good or bad about a Passport America Campground named "Elvis Presley Blvd. RV Park"?

We have used the Fairground Campground before and that's OK, but we would like to use our PA as long as we have it.

Thanks & Happy Camping

We didn't stay there but we drove through it. It looks ok. Right across the road from the King's little house.

I would not recommend it. I was there a couple of weeks ago. Lots of noise, and small sites. It is also in a less than desireable neighborhood. You would be better off to stay in Tunica which is about 20 miles south. Three of the casinos have RV resorts that are VERY cheap. The best in my opinion is the Grand Casino. It is fairly new with tons of room, and the weekday rate was $13 or $7 with a coupon.

We spent 3 nights at the Tom Sawyer's RV Park in West Memphis, AR in March 2004. Refer to:

http://www.arkansas.com/outdoors/cam...y/West+Memphis

I believe it was formerly a KOA park. It has LARGE concrete pads on the banks of the Mississippi River. It was moderately priced, and at that time, did not charge for use of the washers & dryers.

We would recommend it. We would not stay downtown or anywhere near Elvis Presley Blvd.
