Hello Everyone,

Just traded in my 2000 beaver Class A diesel Coach for a new Montana with much more living space. maintenance on the Class A was eating me up.

Purchased a Pullrite 16k hitch from the dealer. This thing im nto too impressed with yet, first try it took us about 45mins to get it hooked to the trailer the first time. and the second time we notied the latch mechanism was bent and not functioning. Replaced the Hitch Head with a new one and after 4 or 5 trys we were able to get it to finally latch.
maybe its gets better with wear i hope atleast.

So onto my new trailer, Purchased it at Holiday World in katy Texas. So far only had a couple issues. The backup Camera im not very impressed with it doesn't hold the image consistently comes in and out is not very useful. It became un paired once and that requires climbing the ladder and pushing the button on the camera while putting the Viewer in pairing mode.

Second i just got to my location 3hrs from the dealer, and the rear most screws that hold the fender to the slide both sides are missing when i arrived, so i must reattach them when i get the chance.

Things i would change if i did it again, definately would opt for the quiet a/c units. ill probably change these out ina year or two with the brisk quiet versions.

So far i really like the new trailer. Hope it serves me well

Congrats on the new rig. Post your issue with the Pullrite in one of the main forums under a dedicated topic. Maybe somebody has been down that road and can offer up some words of wisdom. Some hitches work better when you pull the handle first others don't. One try should be enough.

Welcome to the MOC family and congrats on the new rig it is a very interesting floor plan. Loose fender screws, yep, 1st thing that needed attention once we got our rig home from the dealer as well. Keep us posted.

Welcome to the forum! You'll find a great group of knowledgeable folks here ready and willing to help. I have no experience with that particular hitch, but I do know that many have replaced those screws with bolts and lock washers.

Welcome, you have come to the right forum to get information on your Montana and also to share your knowledge. My fender screws actually lasted about 6 months and several thousand miles before pulling out.

Congrats on new rig...we are looking at the same one...reference the pull rite hitch...you must remember that you can only hook up if you back in pretty dam straight..you have a 15 degree window....I figure that about 7 1/2 degrees left or right.....not like the other hitches where you can basically hook up at any angle.....I have had my pull rite for almost eight years...works wonderful....I placed a ref point on the rear window of my truck, the hitch and the 5th wheel so I can easily back under it correctly by looking in my rear view mirror...by keeping the points all in line with each other....give it a try.....

The fender screws, yes, same issue with both Montana's we have owned. Go to Lowes and buy small nuts, put your screw in and the nut, won't have anymore issues. Simple fix.

The air conditioners, if you run the bedroom during the day and the livingroom at night it reduces the noise considerably!! It's ducted so u will still get air throughout the rv. We only run both in 90 degree weather or when we need to cool off the RV quick then switch to 1 air. You will be surprised how much of a difference that makes.

Welcome to the MOC, great bunch of people and if u have a problem somebody out there usually has had it and can tell u a resolution. Has helped us out many many times! Enjoy your Montana.
