I haven't seen any "best" prices. They range from $900 to $1,000. I believe if you Google Honda 2000i generators, you'll get a pretty good idea.

When I bought mine several years ago, the best prices then were tool rental companies that also sell the units. I did get a new unit at around $860.00. They sure are proud of those little things.....Good choice though.....

The best prices are usually at Mayberrys.com and Tweetys.com. I would think they still have free shipping as well.

I am also looking for a generator and have checked at some salvaged merchandise stores and pawn shops. A local pawn shop has a Honda 2000 for about $600 dollars and the sales rep says it looks in real good condition. I will go look and question them about their return policy. You can tell a lot by looking at a machine. Who knows, they may have already checked it out.

I found my best deal at the local Honda Motorcycle shop for a price as good as Mayberry's(who seems to have a consistently low price). I just went in and told them I was interested in getting two eu2000i generators, and asked what their best deal would be. They were within $10 of the lowest price that I could find on the internet at the time.

I dragged the 5er down to their store and demo'ed a pair of their loaners to be certain that they would power the AC, and left with two new generators. .....no waiting a week for UPS to deliver them half way across the country, and I have somewhere local to deal with in the event of any problems.

It's worth a shot.

Pick up a copy of Trailer Life. They usually have about 5 or 6 distributors that offer low prices. I bought mine from Hicklin power. They had free shipping and no sales tax when I bought mine.

I bought a DL3300 Dgital sine wave Generator and ran it for 30 mins and it ran the A/C Television and Computer. Then it wouldn't start tried for 40 mins. About an hour I tried it and it started three or four times in the next 45 mins. I went back out the next day and smelled gas, it had leaked all over the front of it and the gas was shut off. So I called the company I bought it from, the said I could ship it back at my own expense and they would check it and it it needed fixing they would and ship it back free. I complainted and told them I was going to let all the members of the club that these were not dependable. A couple of days later they are going to sent a New Unit as soon as this one is picked up by Fedx. So I am still not sure if this Generator is dependable, This model weights 123lbs. The lighter one is 70lbs. One has electric start other one doesn't.

I paid $2,200 for 2 EU2000s and the big parallel adapter (the one that screws on to one of the EU2000 to provide the 30 amp outlet). NOW you can buy an EU2000 companion that incorporates the big adapter.

Kerry posted a link that's a good price if you are looking for both with the small parallel cable (with standard and companion units) and no shipping. But in looking around the site I found they have an adapter that allows THREE Hondas to be tied together. This means in my case I would need to purchase a third EU2000 and a $300 adapter to run up to 6000 watts peak and about 4500 to 4800 watts typical. The adapter provides a 50 amp four pin connector for the RV power cord.

That's a cool idea and provides 50 amp portable power that one can carry in their hands (each Honda weighs 50 lbs) and load into the truck and still be below the top of the truck bed rails. But it requires some thought for security and adding a third line for the refueling tank to increase runtime. While over times I will have spent about $3,500, I could have 50 amp, and outstanding portability to haul them around or use them individually when less is needed.
