Place to stay around DC
Hey all hav'nt been around much since the fall rally. Been way to busy. Now we are getting a severe case of cabin fever. Anyway,
them main reason for the post is my airline employer is displacing most of us out to the DC area next couple of months. I'm not real keen on the commuting thing even though I can ride for free. Was thinking might be able to move the Monty out there if I could find a place to park and set it up. Maybe someone out there would rent out a lot hopefully with electric, water and sewer. Any idea's???????????????

Cherry Hill RV Resort is a great campground and it is just North of the city. They offer shuttle bus service to the Mall in DC or the metro is just down the street and very convenient.

Cherry Hill gets good reviews from RV tourists. Not cheap, however for long term stay. You might check w/them re. "seasonal rate."

Check into Cherry Hill. We were there for a month in '06. The couple next to us both worked in the area and had been there in their space in various motor homes for 8 yrs.

You also might want to try the Farfax Co.Regional Park at Bull Run/Manassas Battlefield. Eash commute to Dulles. Prices are reasonable.

Duncans is another option. Friends have camped there but we have not.
Also check this link for others in that area.
Fairfax county, VA. has nice campsites but not sure about long term stays.
Good luck

Mike,
Are you retired military, or still connected in any way with DOD or other entities?
There are some other possibilities if you are.
