Power outlet in Docking Station
I would like to see a 110VAC power outlet in the docking station. This would be for the heater wire on the water hose.
I will post on the Keystone site also.

Possibly not such a good idea as I wouldn't want an electrical outlet that close to all them water connections. A little water on those connections while you are standing in front of it and on damp ground could be fatal.

A guy could install one around the corner, (other side of the wall) then just have a small hole to pass a cord through. It would be a Ground fault outlet anyway, so you would be safe.

GFI and outside weather protection cover would solve the water issue.

The Cambridge did have an outlet there, these do not. I think it probably was an electrical hazard concern.
I was actually looking there to put a 2nd 50A CG connection so I could take advantage of the pass through hole at the bottom.

I like that idea, but thinking along the safety line if the rear 50 Amp plug is not switched out then those pins would be live and "little fingers" could get fried, not to mention my big ones. I know why would I stick my fingers in there.
I guess anyone thinking about putting a second 50 Amp plug on there unit should consider a manual transfer switch for safety.
Cheers,

I agree. I may just abandoned the back receptacle. Switching is bulky and pricey.

Hey Brad, we will keep on that idea and come up with something.

I went ahead and put in another 50 amp breaker for the second power cord, that way can control turn on and turn off of each power supply. There was plenty of room in the breaker panel.

Brad, if you hook up a transfer switch, one will be 'hot', and one feed 'not' it will be automatic. The hot one will energize the contactor coil, pull in the contacts, the other contactor will be open, with no power to the coil. That is what I have wired, I just have the inverter-generator feed to one contactor and coil. That way, you would have no backfeed to the unused power supply.
Here's some reading and refrence:

yeppers Ozz - that's what I was thinking. I'd actually have it default to the docking station, as I think I would use it more than the tail.
I'm not quite sure why it has 2 neutrals being switched. Am I missing something?
Brad

They want to kill both hot and neutral wires for the electronics
