Gas Bed Struts

Raised the bed today and must have gone to far. Bed went up but can not get it to go back down. The gas struts will not move at all. Anyone know is there some kind of release to get them to work or did I just go beyond a point of no return.

Many thanks for any help.

I had the same thing happen. Dealer was no help when I called them. I took out the screws and removed them. Broom sticks work good to hold the bed up. Never under there much anyway

I did the same thing a couple of years ago. If I remember correct I took the struts off thinking I was going to have to go to the autoparts store and replace them but when they were off I was able to get them back down and have not had a problem since. Of course I also replaced the plywood on top of the bed with thicker plywood since the screws ripped out of the hinges so the top is heavier and does not raise as quickly.

I've had the same problem twice now. Once on our old 315. Just removed them. Now with our new 326 have had the same problem. Took them out too. Guess I'll just use the old broom stick solution. This time the screws came out of the plywood when I lowered the bed.
