Locking in the Satellite Signal

We are going to have the external dish at least in the beginning and would like to know what you all use to lock in the satellite signal. Is there a simple meter you can use to do this and where can you get it. I use to take out a small tv next and put it next to the satellite dish and turned the dish till I found the signal. There must be a better way. John

I use a Satellite Finder purchased at Radio Shack.
