We got Gas

We decided to get out of town for a few days camping with the Monty after it had been sitting for a few weeks with all the windows open. We set up camp started the AC and got out the bucket and rags and cleaned all the surfaces of that nasty dust. Job done, time to just find some shade and relax outside. Came back in the trailer to get a drink and wow some thing is starting to stink. My wife went in later and came back and said the same thing. I decided to check it out, as soon as I finish the chapter of my book. Finally went inside to see if I could figure it out and realized that the smell was propane.

When we cleaned the stove I guess one of the burner valves was turned on by wiping the rag across it. All is well after we vented the trailer but a word of caution to all, with the AC going I guess it dispersed the gas through out the trailer before the propane detector had a chance to go off, or it's not working as it never sounded.

If you could smell the propane the gas detector should have sounded the alarm. It is far more sensitive than your nose. I would get it checked.
