Frig turning itself off

Once this past weekend the Frig quit working while on gas and by the time I noticed it in the afternooon, the Temp inside the Frif was over 50°. The CHECK mode light was on.
FTR, The propane bottles are full and I was running on Full AC power. The Frig should have atleast switched over to AC.
I had just turned on the gas that morning and maybe air was still in the lines, although I had all burners working on the stove to get the air outon start up. That is my way to get the propane working.

Why did the propane quit working and not why did the Unit not switch over automatically ? Restarted the gas side and all was okay.

Have you checked your batteries. I do believe that you have to have 9.+ volts to run the Frig.

If you have the switch in "Auto" and plugged into 110V this should be the primary source for power. The switch to gas happens when there is an interruption in A/C power. I tend to think like Doug, if you were on "gas" there might not be enough voltage in the battery to make the frig work. Make sure of proper water level in the battery as the converter should be supplying power for charging, otherwise there is not a switch to 110V when on gas.

I will check all advice here.
The trailer is only a few months old and so the battery should be okay, but I will check the battery output and water etc..
I was running the Frig on gas to save amps, but I may have had the Frig running on gas and not Auto. With a power surge maybe the Frig turned off and .......
I'm guessing now.....

If you are operating on gas, there is no changeover to electric when you run out of gas. The switchover is only from electric to gas, not vice versa. I wonder if you might have had an air bubble in the line.

Suggest you set the refrig to electricity and then disconnect the electric to see if it switches correctly to gas. I suspect you simply had air in the lines the previous time it did not work. This has happened to mew after refilling my tanks and reconnecting.

Sounds like there may have been an air bubble in the propane system. I was running the water heater on gas and it turned off also. I just have not mentioned it.

I just discovered a twist to what Orv said here.
While camping in my Mobile Scout (For sale) this past weekend,
the following happened. The evening before my weekend getaway, I place the frig on Auto Elec. The next day I took the trailer for an overnight stay. When I got to my destination I plugged into the Land Power and turned the Air Conditioner on etc.
About an hour latter I looked at the Frig and it had automatically switched back to AC.

So, with the conditions above, the Frig should switch back to AC while on gas.
Now on my Mountaineer Frig turning it self off several weeks ago.....I believe I started on gas , Not Auto, and maybe an air bubble got in the line and the Frig did not switch to AC because it was never on Auto ??
Or My Mobile Scout is different than the Mountaineer, though the Units look the same. ( Is this confusing - lol)
