I replaced the street side sofa with an antique fainting couch. I gave the sofa to a LA highway patrolman

Yes and very happy with results. We initially thought we needed low profile but found out that we did not. I had fun ripping out the old junk couches and tossing them in the trash. We ended up putting in two leather couches and a nice leather chair. We love it.

I have to ask, what is a "fainting couch"?

At the turn of the century women wore very tight corsets which would make them faint. Thus the term fainting couch.

Well, it's certainly not the same as a "casting couch".

Yeah we took the legs off all 4 corners. They hang off from the top lip of slide about 7 ". I thought that would be an issue but it's not bad. They fit through the door no problem. Just have to stand on end when you enter. Then manhandle the stairs. Piece of cake. They are extremely comfortable. We got ours from Arizona leather interiors. Picked them up. Arizonaleather.com We are still trying to figure out the 6inch rise on the slide. We just have black blankets draped to cover for now. Looks fine for the time being. Temporary fix.
