What is the best hydraulic oil to add to the Lippert 6 point leveling system?

We would use Walmarts ATF. Recommended is any ATF except type F.

If you want to add, good time to add some Fork Oil as outlined in the Lippert manual

Agree with Mike. If you haven't experienced the popping yet, you might be able to avoid it by adding the fork oil.

Spelled out in the lippert manual you should have received with the rig, and also available on line. As I recall, three different brands recommended.

Go to http://www.lci1.com/support-level-up and select 0188 for fluid recommendations and 0295 for stiction fluid recommendations, which is the fork oil mentioned. There are also many other informative things on this page about the leveling system. You get to these by selecting the Technical Information Sheets tab.

Rohrmann,
Went to the Lippert site you recommended, great information. Saved the site to my lap top.

I've been using John Deer standard hydraulic fluid. You can also use their artic formula if you experience relay time out while operating slides in. Best news is there are lots of John Deer shops. We also had a fluid line blow apart. John Deer shops can also make up a new one in minutes at a reasonable price. Any length you need they can make up.

We previously added the Caterpillar hydraulic oil additive to stop the popping sounds. I keep an extra jug of it now and will use it to top up the system if need be.
