Inverter needed on 2007 29555RL
I need some advice on which brand of inverter our MOC folks are using. I will require pure sine do to my CPAP machine and our laptop. I would think 1500 watts would be sufficient. Looking for value with good performance. I have read a few reviews on the internet and there are a few brands that get very low marks. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Send a PM to Ozz. He has a great one, but I'm electrically challenged so I'm not the one to answer questions.

bandit, sent you a PM, as I stated in it, check with Don Rowe's site for sizing and general information, it is a good one.
(So many variables..) I have the Magnum 2800, but I also have 6 batteries. You won't need that size at this time.
Miss you guys around here Dick. Sue and I love the gift, a true work of art. Thanks so much.

We have a Pro-Sine 2000 watt inverter made by Xantrex. Has served us well so far since 2003. We have two Lifeline D8 batteries. Don't recommend if you are weight conscious. I'm okay with batteries that weigh 150 lbs each!

Neither a CPAP nor or laptop require a pure sine wave inverter. If you want one, fine, but it isn't a requirement. There are a bunch of us who have been boondocking for months now in AZ with MSW inverters running CPAPs, laptops, LCD and LED TVs, satellite receivers, stereo systems and much more.

Gary,
We've been using a CPAP machine for well over ten years. Our inverter is NOT a pure sine wave model. We've had zero problems using it. We also have used our computer powered by the same inverter. Again no problems. So I have to agree with Carl that you don't "need" to have a pure sine wave inverter. But to be on the safe side (and you don't mind spending a bit more for it) a pure sine wave inverter would be nice. Good luck and hope to see you on the road some day. Dennis

The manufacture of my CPAP (Resmed- model is ESCAPE S8) states on their website that I can run the machine without the humidifier on modified sine wave yet must have pure sine if I need the humidifier. We will be taking a two month trip to the yellowstone area in June and failure of this machine would really be a problem. Do you folks run a humidifier on your machine. I know the new machines by resmed will run on modified sine to include the humidifier. Thanks for the great advice.
