rusty rotor

After finally getting the flat tire off I noticed the rotor is rusty. I'm sure it's the result of the humidity and the fact that we have not towed Monty for 1 yr.

Is it something I should worry about? Is there a recommendation for rust removal that's simple or will it wear off once we start towing again w/o affecting the pads? I probably want to check the rest of the rotors which means fighting with 24 more lug nuts.

It will probably be gone after the first stop. IMHO. Larry

It is normal. If your car sits for a few days, in damp conditions, you will see rust on those rotors too. They get brushed clean quickly when used.

Nothing to worry about. They'll shine right up after the first couple of times you brake. Surface rust is normal when it has sat for awhile.
