Jim, we're taking a bus into the City and going to Liberty Island to see the Statute of Liberty, viewing Ellis Island from the ferry, a drive through lower Manhattan to the South Street Seaport and a walk to Ground Zero, an uptown drive through "some of the world's most famous districts and neighborhoods", up to the observation deck of the Empire State Bldg, and take a stroll down Broadway and Times Square. Does that sound like a pretty good sightseeing trip to the Big Apple? Or, you and Vickie could quick fly up here and be our tour guides!!

We miss New York. We love to visit but wouldn't want to live there - you know how that can be.

DW and I are grateful we visited the Twin Towers observation deck about 15 years ago. It was phenomenal. The last visit was soon after the tragedy (2002) on a pre-planned trip. We stayed at the Marriott near Wall street one block away with a view of the site (indescribable and tragic) - that was not fun to see all the time, so we left the hotel every day to visit other areas.

We hope to visit once again soon, since there is so much to see. Both times I either rented a car or drove my own car (boy that was fun.... "Hey, Oi'm drivin' heaya") and should have a good time with my Ford F-250 next time! LOL. I am gonna look up the Plattekill KOA!

We were just at the Plattekill KOA last week on our way back to Houston. No time to tour anything but we thought it was a nice park. Little ways off the beaten path.

noneck, we're leaving here on Monday, 6/22, and heading over to Connecticut to visit an old friend. We're sorry you're not around, too. Maybe next time!

Pam,
We were in that area a few weeks ago. Another attraction in Hyde Park is the Culinary Institute of America. They give tours and have 4 very nice restaurants run by the students. Enjoy your stay!!
