Well finally finished and got the chance to try them out last weekend -

Broome101 - great idea on the remote control lights. I mounted two 55 watt rear lights to the hitch, and another two tiny 55 watt spots out the sides further up on the belly behind the slide and steps. the wiring runs up to the battery compartment and are controlled directly from the coach batteries via 30A relay and 20A fuse block. The relay is activated by the TV backup lights or through the remote control relay. All mounted neatly on the wall below the hydraulic pump and the remote works from several hundred feet away.

Wiring was another story. It was a bear getting the wiring from the front to back and out the belly at the appropriate places. I also had to run a new wire from the pin box to the battery compartment for the truck back up lights to activate the relay. The pigtail already had a wire (yellow) but wasn't used by Keystone.

Now that its done, its kind of fun. I use the remote control as an entry light as it reasonably lights up the steps and ground. Between the hitch mount truck backup lights and the new Monty backup lights, I can put this thing in storage without help and it really helped getting aligned at the camp spot. The lights are aimed low enough that they really aren't too obnoxious to fellow campers unless someone was in a tent.

Radios, work both day and night. If other half is back there watching all she has to do is push and talk. We back into a drive way from a busy street and the radios work great. We have a diesel and the noise from the engine, its hard to hear someone yelling.

Oh we use radios too Micky - the back up lights just keep me from running over the DW!
