Leaf Spring Hanger Brackets Fixed Now on Our Way
It has been an very eventful last 2 months. One blowout, leak in the bedroom, and broken spring hanger bracket on passenger side. We just got the Monty out of the shop - new driver side fender and some slide repairs from our tire blow out and a re-welded hanger bracket.
Shop asked us when we had the bracket repaired before, told them we never had it done it was original from the factory. It turns out that the outside of the brackets were welded but inside they just had a couple of tack welds. The welder checked out the rest of the suspension and said it was good but this one was a poor weld job.
Bedroom leak turned out to be from around the TV antenna, the shop owner took care of it for us at no charge. What a deal after all the other work. Good news was insurance covered the blow out damage. Bad news the extended warranty only covers springs and components not the hangers.
Well now all is good and we are getting loaded up to head south. Hope to be in Quartzsite by Thrusday. Looking forward to some R&R
