King Size Bed option

Taking delivery this week...ordered the King Size Bed option...

Note on the Montana webpage the under the Monatan Standard/Optional features it states: DELUX QUENN (60" x 80") innerspring PILLOW TOP mattress...
and then KING SIZE BED - as an option......
it does not state INNERSPRING PILLOW TOP MATTRESS for KING SIZE.....

?? Is this true ???
I pay more for a king size but get a lesser quality mattress ?????

I know - from reading - we will probably want to replace it with a short time but the fact that I am paying more for less just buugs me.....

Thanks for all you input...I have read and learnt so much from this group....

I can't speak for what you are getting, but....we have a 2006 2955RL that came with a king size mattress. almost 5 years later we still sleep very comfortably on it. We have a sleep number bed in the stick house and my back feels just as good after a nights sleep in the Monty. I have heard others that had problems, but we were given a really nice mattress when we bought without even knowing it. Good luck...I hope it works out for you also.

We have a 2010 3000RK with the king bed and it is a pillow top. Very comfortable.

Ours is a Pillow Top and was comfortable, and even more since I put 3" memory foam on top. I found cutting memory foam with an electric knife much easier than anything else I have tried.

My 2011 came with an innerspring pillow top king that appears to me to be the same quality as the OEM queen. We have only slept on it a couple nights so far and it seems reasonably comfortable. We plan on using it a while befor deciding if we need to upgrade.

We have a king, but I really can't say if it is innerspring or not. It wasn't too bad, but with a 3" memory foam added to the top it sleeps very comfortably.
I also used an electric knife to curve the foam end corners to fit the mattress.

Our 2010 3400 came with the pillow top king option...the first couple of weeks were ok...since then, we have slept about five months on it and we need to do something. We see many MOCers have added a 3" foam topper...may do the same.

Our 2010 3150RL came with a king from the factory. We prefer a queen and will somewhere down the road change to a queen. For now, the king from the factory is OK. The queen allows more room around the bed.

We're in the process of converting from the stock queen (we bought the Monty off the lot) to an RV King (72 x 80 vs 76x80 for a std king). I've replaced the queen platform with one sized for the king and the 8" memory foam mattress will be delivered tomorrow. I'll provide an update after we've slept on it a night or two.

Our King, now in a dumpster somewhere up north, could be lifted with one hand. OK true, doing so meant I was making a pup tent because it hung down to the ground on both sides of me. It might just be me but I wanted to sleep on something stiffer than a beach towel.

We upgraded ours to a real queen. It took two large men to get it into the BR. We folded the king in half, no lie, and drove it to the dump; didn't even have to tie it down.

Ours came with a king, and after adding a 3" memory foam topper, it sleeps as good, if not better than our house's Tempurpedic!
